Job Description:
Entry level salary position in the Mine Safety Department.
The applicant will be assigned as a General Inside Labor the first four (4) months of the program.
At the completion of that period, the individual will be assigned to the Safety Department as a trainee to gain understand of mine safety and the responsibilities of the safety department.
At the completion of the training program, the individual will be assigned as a Safety Supervisor.
Develop and work as an integral member of site management to monitor and strengthen compliance with Warrior Met Coal Safety Policies, Federal and State mining laws.
Represent site management while accompanying Federal and/or State inspectors and initiate appropriate actions as warranted and convey the results of the inspection to management.
Investigate accidents and incidents.
Conduct health and compliance surveys and sampling.
Position requires interaction with front line supervision and the hourly workforce to provide guidance and education, achieving and maintaining compliance with Warrior Met Coal Safety Policies, Federal and State mining laws.
Essential Functions (90% :
Interact with the front-line supervisors and the hourly force at their workplace to:
Strengthen the understanding and adherence to Warrior Met Coal Safety Policies, Federal and State mining lawsReinforce positive behaviors and correct undesired behaviors Accompany Federal or State Inspectors during their inspections Perform site visits and auditsCollect Respirable Dust Samples or other health related duties Conduct classroom and on the job training for employeesFor immediate consideration, please apply on our career site at warriormetcoal.
