Engineer- Mining

The Industrial Engineer is a full-time employee that typically supports the day to day functions of the engineering department through various methods of continuous improvement and projects of specialized assignment.
The Industrial Engineer shall provide operational support as it pertains to performing various duties on frequent basis as assigned so that goals of the mine or department are met.
Performance of these and other associated duties in a manner consistent with all applicable procedures, plans, policies, practices, environmental, health or safety rules or legal requirements.
Job Objective:
Has no formal role in managing projects but through project participation, acquires project management skills as well as continuous improvement skills.
Essential Functions Participate in the day to day operations of continuous improvement at the mine site through the oversight, supervision, and roll-out of continuous improvement initiatives through processes determined by the engineering methods and standards.
Determine location, sequence and timing of project to address large performance gaps.
Facilitate the completion of mine activities by planning and supervising construction, rehabilitation, or production projects.
By way of methods such as time studies, make recommendations to mine management and frontline supervisors of evaluated data to improve production standards.
Conducts diagnostics to identify opportunities while working with front-line areas to determine performance standards and reporting back through the engineering departmentOther duties as assigned by managementSalary:
