Summary:
The Maintenance Coordinator - Underground is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating maintenance activities in underground facilitiesThis role ensures the efficient operation of equipment, adherence to safety standards, and timely completion of maintenance tasksThe Maintenance Coordinator collaborates with maintenance management teams, supervisors, and other relevant departments to optimize underground maintenance processes
Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning:
Develop and implement maintenance schedules for underground equipment, machinery, and infrastructureCoordinate with maintenance teams to prioritize tasks based on equipment criticality and operational requirementsEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standardsTeam Collaboration:
Work closely with maintenance teams to communicate priorities, deadlines, and specific maintenance requirementsProvide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnelFoster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environmentEquipment Inspection and Troubleshooting:
Conduct regular inspections of underground equipment to identify potential issuesCollaborate with maintenance teams to diagnose and troubleshoot problemsImplement preventive maintenance measures to reduce downtimeBudget Management:
Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget for underground operationsMonitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective maintenance practicesDocumentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment performanceGenerate reports on maintenance KPIs, equipment reliability, and complianceSafety Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and ensure that maintenance activities comply with relevant safety regulationsConduct safety training for maintenance personnel and promote a safety-first culture
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field is preferred 10 years minimum experience in maintenance leadership and coordination, preferably in underground operationsStrong knowledge of underground equipment, machinery, and maintenance best practicesFamiliarity with safety regulations and compliance standardsExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a dynamic and challenging underground environment.
